This book takes the reader on a journey from the diplomatic game between the great Empires, through the battlefields of their confrontations in the 18th and early 19th centuries, up to the Greek struggle and its falls and glories in 1821. One may wonder whether the echo of these events resonates down to the present times and affects the current affairs in the broader area in which Greece is part of the status quo.
